The Back Forty farm is home to the dairy, cheese shop, and riverside bistro and is located in Mississippi Station, Ontario, an hour west of Ottawa. The shop offers a full selection of raw-sheep’s milk cheeses, as well as range of locally made products including cured meats, honey, maple syrup, chocolate, coffee, and preserves.

The new outdoor kitchen and riverside bistro serves a seasonal farm-to-table menu, including wood-oven pizzas, and the newly licensed riverside patio features Ontario craft beer, cider, and wine.

The Cheese Shop and Bistro is open for the summer season on Fridays from 3pm-7pm and Saturdays from 11am-6pm. Reservations are not required, it is casual outdoor dining at one of our picnic tables, Muskoka chairs, or bar.
